InForm
How do I get it?
InForm is a Microsoft Word add-in launching soon on Microsoft AppSource, with a founding beta whose first four months are free. Join the list on the InForm page and we will send your invitation when the beta opens. Beta participants receive setup steps by email.
Does InForm change my writing?
No. InForm never rewrites your sentences or auto-corrects your citations. It marks what needs attention and explains the rule behind it; the only thing it can add to your document is a comment, and only when you choose.
How do I sign in?
InForm uses a ScholarVera account. Open the add-in and sign in with your email and password. During the beta you can start a free trial from the add-in itself.
A real source was flagged as unverified. Why?
InForm is deliberately conservative: it would rather tell you a source could not be confirmed than risk claiming a real work is fake. Some legitimate works, particularly unusual books, gray literature, or older material, are hard to confirm automatically and land in that state. That is the safety bar working as intended, not an error.
Where does my document go?
Nowhere. InForm's checks run on your own machine, and when it verifies a source it sends only the reference entry, never your prose. See the Privacy Policy for details.
WriteSight
How do I install it?
WriteSight is a Microsoft Word add-in on Microsoft AppSource. You add it from within Word (Insert → Get Add-ins) or from its AppSource listing, and it appears in your task pane. WriteSight is currently rolling out through university pilots; if you are part of a pilot, we will send you the current setup steps for your platform.
How do I sign in?
WriteSight uses a ScholarVera account. Open the add-in and sign in with your email and password; if you do not have access yet, your instructor or administrator can grant it. The add-in then opens in the right mode for your role, writing or review.
Where is my writing data stored?
Inside your own document. WriteSight's provenance record is written into the .docx file itself and is not sent to ScholarVera. See the Privacy Policy for details, including what we do keep for your account.
Does it work on both Windows and Mac?
WriteSight runs in Word on Windows and Mac. If you run into trouble on a particular platform or Word version, email us with the details and we will help.
The add-in is not loading.
First, confirm Word is fully updated and that you have a document open (the task pane needs an open document). If sign-in fails, double-check your email and password and that your access has been granted. If it still will not load, email us with your operating system and Word version and we will troubleshoot with you.
